Gilbert AUTO-RAMA
was made from 1961 to 1965 in
approximately 1/32 scale. A wide selection of
track, lane change and stunt action accessories, and a variety of intersections to replicate both
raceways and highway systems.

AUTO-RAMA
ACTION ACCESSORIES
|
|
These Auto-Rama accessories include a selection of lane change
action accessories and a variety of intersections and other track
pieces. The Auto-Rama action accessories
we have for sale are all unused and in mint
condition. As noted and pictured below these 7
auto rama action accessories are offered for sale in their original boxes.
 Auto-Rama
track
came in two and three rail styles. With 3 rail track and an
auto-rama car set up for 3 rail operation ( a pick-up spring that travels
the center slot where the guide pin goes ) two cars could be independently
operated in one lane. This three rail operation
allowed for a lane changing stunt tracks as well as a variety of
intersections.
Auto-Rama was
designed as a highway system as well as a racing system. Three rail track can
also be used as two rail track. Most
chicanes replace 2 straight track sections. A variety of action
accessories and intersections are available below . Please note that the cars
pictured on the accessory boxes were not included with the
accessory.

Fly
Over Chicane Kit
Cars leap over gap or
roadway and can even cross over from one lane to another in mid air.
Complete with ramps, track with switches, railings, flags, warning light
and decals. In original box.

Flip-Flop
Chicane
You force your opponent's car to
change lanes as your car's wheels automatically throw the special
flip-flop switch in the roadway - so of you time it right you can force
the other fellow to keep racing in the longer outer lane of any oval
course - to help you win! Also included is a hand reset switch. For
use on any 3-rail Auto-Rama layout (replacing two regular 7-inch
sections). In original box.

See-Saw
Jump
It's two accessories in one: see-saw and jump ramp. Attach them to any
Auto-Rama straight roadway section for instant extra fun! Weight and
momentum of car takes it over see-saw in each lane to continue racing -
if you have the skill to "drive" at the right speed. Or insert
the extra metal rod to make an exciting non-powered jump ramp. In
original box.

Which
Lane? Chicane
Exclusive special roadway sections on which any Auto-Rama car can change
lanes in mid-race; it's unpredictable, which is why it adds so much fun
to racing. Set includes 2 power Lane Controls, which must be pressed for
uninterrupted car operation. Instructions included for simple
installation on any Auto-Rama race set. In original box.

Select-A-Lane
Chicane
Drive your car across the tread sections at just he right speed and
throw the switch to change lanes, or prevent it if you don't want to
cross over. In original box.

Hump Bridge
Kit
Adds a lot of color and interest to
your layout - and takes extra skill too. Quickly and easily assembled.
Requires 3 straight Auto-Rama roadway sections (not included). In original

90°
Crossroad
The 90° Crossroad permits the intersection of two roadways. The Crossroad
can be used in any two or three rail Auto-Rama roadway layout. In the two
rail system the center rail is not energized. This intersection can be used to form a
figure "8" layout or larger layouts. In

TRACK SECTIONS

Auto-Rama track is
available in a variety of styles and conditions. Sold as single pieces
unless noted. Track is new unless described as used. Used means the track
may be dirty or slightly rusted but is serviceable once cleaned.

AMERICAN
FLYER STOCK CAR RACE
In 1960 A.C. Gilbert introduced a
slotless race set using roadway with S gauge rail embedded in it and a
stock car with a magnetic pick up. This was produced for one year
only. We have a limited selection of parts and track
available.

JAMES BOND RACE SET
In 1966 A.C. Gilbert produced a
1/4 scale James Bond "007" Panel Race Set. This was produced for
