New for 2008, the Pennsylvania Keystone Special Ready-to-Run Starter Set offers realistic steam railroad action and is loaded with extras that set it apart from the other beginner’s sets: an operating searchlight car, illuminated caboose, and a more powerful 80 watt CW transformer.
It is headed by a powerful die-cast metal Pennsy 0-8-0 steam locomotive that features puffing smoke, a tender with an operating steam whistle, working headlight, and transformer controlled forward- neutral-reverse operation. With a boxcar, operating searchlight car, and illuminated caboose in tow, the train travels around a generous 40”x 60” extended oval of easy to set up FasTrack. Plus the set includes scenic accessories, a billboard and a set of telephone poles and signs.
Do not confuse this set with cheaper versions that sell for less but do not have the more powerful 80 WATT Lionel CW transformer!
