BIG BANG
CANNONS:
The Larger
the cannon the Louder the
BANG!
|
|
|
Start a family tradition this 4th of
July. The Big Bang Cannon is one of those great
toys that becomes a family heirloom. I've had mine since 1960 and that cast iron
carbide cannon still makes one heck of a BOOM!
These toy carbide cannons
are safe, fun and legal alternative to firecrackers for children and
adults at patriotic July 4th celebrations, New Years and all special
events.
In continuous production since 1912, Big
Bang Cannons are beautiful all metal reproductions of the field artillery
used
by the Continental Army in the Revolutionary War. We feature 5
versions. The 3 cast iron cannons are finished in black with red
wheels. Two models are cast in solid brass. All make a handsome display pieces when not in use.
The larger the cannon the louder the boom it makes when fired.
NO
GUN POWDER IS USED. Used outdoors, they produce a realistic muzzle flash and a loud boom!
Bangsite (powdered calcium carbide), water, air and a spark mix
to produce a safe (and loud) BANG. Easily operated by children and
adults alike.
Safety Features EXPLAINED
HERE.
The BIG BANG CANNON was invented by a
Lehigh University professor and was originally made of glass to illustrate the safe
process which could generate a "BIG BANG" - without breaking the
glass!
The were so popular that soon they were produced in
cast iron. Today's cannons are still made in the USA and still
produced using the original tooling. Virtually indestructible
these handsome heavy duty replicas have become a family tradition for the
celebration of July 4th, New Years and other special
events. Remember:
THE LARGER THE CANNON THE LOUDER THE BANG.
